Jessica Taylor, an assistant professor in the Department of History, received the Ernest A. Lynton Award for the Scholarship of Engagement for Early Career Faculty from Campus Compact, a national coalition of colleges and universities committed to the public purposes of higher education whose goal is to build democracy through civic education and community development. This national award emphasizes community-engaged scholarly work across the faculty roles of teaching, research, creative activity, and service.
