Six doctoral students in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences participated in the Podcasting the Humanities institute, a weeklong virtual program designed to provide hands-on training for doctoral students in the humanities to translate research, commentary, and community-sourced narratives into podcast episodes organized in partnership with the Digital Humanities Center at San Diego State University. Participants were: Upali Bhattacharya, Sociology; Marissa Buccilli, English; Lyla Byers, Sociology; Danielle DuChesne, Science, Technology, and Society; June Jones, ASPECT; and Kristen Koopman, Science, Technology, and Society. The institute took place January 10–14. As a follow-up to the program, the students will work together to coordinate a mini-workshop on podcasting open to Virginia Tech graduate students.
