Kathleen (She/Her/Hers) is a first year doctoral student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program area. Her research interests include adaptations of clinical interventions for LGBTQ+ couples, the science of attachment, therapeutic interventions for other therapists or clinicians, and the discourse and disease process surrounding substance use disorder. Kathleen has experience in leadership, research, and holds a license as a graduate marriage and family therapist in the state of Maryland. She is interested in a mixed methods approach to her scholarship at Virginia Tech and is theoretically oriented through deconstruction and systems theories.
