Emma is a second year Ph.D. student in the Family Science program area. Her research interests lie broadly within sexual health and violence prevention. Emma is also interested in understanding community-building and support mechanisms for gender minorities. She is interested in mixed methods research at Virginia Tech and identifies as a critical feminist family scholar with a primarily systemic theoretical approach.
