Emma is a first year Ph.D student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program area. Her research interests lie broadly within sexual violence prevention, with specific goals of implementing consent culture into early education practices. Emma is also interested in community-building and support for female-identifying individuals related to sexual trauma. She is interested in mixed methods research at Virginia Tech and identifies as a feminist-scholar with a primarily systemic theoretical approach.
