Shalini Srinivasan (she/her) is a third-year doctoral student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program area in the Human Development and Family Science department. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, and Economics and her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Christ University, Bangalore, India. She adopts a critical feminist lens in her research and clinical work. Shalini's dissertation will focus on the relationship and sexual experiences of South Asian women living in the US. She is also interested in understanding the therapeutic process of immigrant therapists working with clients from similar racial/ethnic communities in the context of acculturation.
