Call for Applications: Center for Humanities Faculty Fellow Program, Spring 2026
Virginia Tech’s Center for Humanities invites applications for the Spring 2026 Center for Humanities Faculty Fellow program. The fellow will participate in the intellectual life of the Center. They will receive $500 in professional development funds as well as the exclusive use of a private office (pictured) within the Center for Humanities in War Memorial Hall.
Who is eligible? Any Virginia Tech faculty member working in a humanities field and/or on a humanities-related research project. We expect the position will be especially appealing to faculty members on research leave, who would benefit from workspace outside their department or school. We will also consider applications from any other faculty member with a need for office space.
What are the responsibilities? Faculty fellows will deliver a short presentation in the Center’s seminar series, attend Center events as their schedules permit, and generally participate in the intellectual life of the Center.

Call for Applications: Center for Humanities Graduate Student Fellows Program, Spring 2026
Virginia Tech’s Center for Humanities invites applications for the Spring 2026 Center for Humanities Graduate Student Fellows program. Fellows have the use of shared office space in War Memorial Hall and will participate in the intellectual life of the Center.
Who is eligible? Any currently enrolled Virginia Tech graduate student working in a humanities field and/or on a humanities-related research project.
What office space is available? Fellows are assigned one of three desks in the shared office (pictured) at the Center for Humanities, Suite 210, War Memorial Hall and are encouraged to make regular use of this workspace for writing, research, and collaboration.
What are the responsibilities? Graduate student fellows regularly attend the CfH seminar (most Mondays 12:15-1:15) and at one of the meetings, deliver a short presentation about their work. They also participate in the intellectual life of the Center, attending other Center events as their schedules permit.
