Sylvester Johnson, a professor in the Department of Religion and Culture and Associate Vice Provost for Public Interest Technology, co-edited Religion and US Empire: Critical New Histories, North American Religions (New York, New York: New York University Press, 2022), with Tisa Wenger.
His individual contributions to the volume were “Introduction” with Wenger and “A Colony Called Freedom: Religion, Empire, and Black Christian Settlers,” pp. 1–16 and 63–82 respectively.
