Patrick Ridge, an assistant professor in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures, received the Adela Zamudio Prize from Feministas Unidas, Inc., for his article “Thunder and Terror: Storm as Allegory in Tatiana Huezo’s Tempestad,” Screening the Indigenous Experience in Contemporary Latin American Cinema, special issue of Diálogo 23.1 (2020): 69–84. The prize is awarded for the best published article by a member of Feministas Unidas, Inc., in the areas of feminist studies, gender studies, queer studies, and studies related to works of literature and cinema by female authors.
