Dean Laura Belmonte presented the “State of the College” address on October 8. Featured were updates regarding numerous College initiatives and priorities: Center for Humanities; Academy of Transdisciplinary Studies; Center for Refugee, Migrant, and Displacement Studies; Kellogg Center for Philosophy, Politics, and Economics; Virginia Center for Civil War Studies; Food Studies Program; Juneteenth Scholars Program; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; School of Education; Naval ROTC; Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures; and Sports Media and Analytics. An update from the Undergraduate Academic Affairs stated that the College currently has 42 majors and an undergraduate enrollment of more than 4,000.
