Food Studies Program at Virginia Tech

Food Studies Program Logo

Welcome to the Food Studies Program at Virginia Tech! Our program, housed in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences, facilitates teaching, interdisciplinary research, and community engagement to promote understandings of food consumption and production within historical, social, and ethical contexts. We seek to establish conversations, facilitate critical thinking, foster effective communication, and work toward solutions around food issues, both within and beyond the academy.

The Food Studies Program serves as a space for collaboration and for bringing together disparate projects related to food from around Virginia Tech and the region. Apply to be a Food Studies Program Associate or Join Our Listserv
