ASPECT doctoral student Sarah Plummer participated in the panel discussion titled “Covering Trauma: The Human Cost of Journalism” at the Society of Professional Journalists Region 4 Conference, which was held March 9–10 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In addition, Plummer presented “Huey Long: America’s First Future Dictator and his War on Media” at the 2018 Pop Culture Association/American Culture Association National Conference, which took place March 29–31 in Indianapolis, Indiana; she received a $500 Michael Schoenecke Travel Grant from the PCA Endowment to attend the conference.
