What You'll Study
A minor in communication complements almost any major, enriching the overall value of your academic experience. Communication skills are universally valuable and can set you apart in a wide range of professions. To be eligible for the communication minor:
- Students must have an overall GPA of 2.0 before declaring this minor. Once accepted, students must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA for courses in the minor.
- Students should have more than 30 hours to complete overall before graduation.
- Students may major in anything with the exception of communication.
Note: Some upper-level courses are open to non-majors, but others are initially restricted to majors during Course Request. Available seats are opened to students in the minor during Drop-Add. Students who are declared minors will have priority over non-majors and non-minors. Production courses or small lab courses will not be opened to minors.
