Jean Monnet Chair Yannis Stivachtis spoke with students and faculty at Ohio Western University on March 19 as part of their "Great Decisions 2021" speaker series. Stivachtis discussed Brexit and the European Union.

"What is Brexit? We've heard about it for years, followed it from a distance.  We are all somewhat aware of what it is about, Great Britain voting in June of 2016 to leave the European Union.  But, what is behind this?," they asked.  Stivachtis addressed multiple dimensions of the Brexit process including the results of the initial referendum and the forces and factions at work that brought it about.
