September 6, 2022
Virginia Tech's Food Studies Program will host a student-led event, "Mushrooms and Foraging Around the World," on Sept. 8 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Newman Library Multipurpose room. The event immediately follows the "How the Truffle Saved Provence" event.
It is is co-sponsored with Mozaiko, the International Languages and Cultures Living Learning Community at VT. Matthew Reiss, who runs Gnomestead Hollow in Floyd, will bring his own farmed and foraged mushrooms for students to taste and learn to grow.
This latter event is open to Mozaiko and any student interested in checking out the "Food Matters" student club.
