Claire Cahen, an assistant professor in the School of Public and International Affairs, was recognized with the American Association of Geographers’ 2022 dissertation award, which she received from the Urban Geography Specialty Group for her 2022 dissertation titled “Failing Forward? Race, the Governance of School Reform and the Contest for a Dignified Future in Newark, NJ.”
