Matthew Fullen, an assistant professor in School of Education, received the Carl D. Perkins Government Relations Award from the American Counseling Association (ACA).

The Carl D. Perkins Government Relations Award “honors an ACA member who has made a significant contribution to the counseling profession, or individuals served by the profession, by influencing public policy at the state or national level.” Fullen was recognized for his research and advocacy on mental health services and the Medicare Coverage Gap. He will be honored at the 2021 ACA conference.

In addition, Fullen published “Psychometric Synthesis of the Five Factor Wellness Inventory,” Journal of Counseling and Development 98.1 (2020): 94–106, with Laura Shannonhouse, Bradley Erford, Donna Gibson, and Caroline O’Hara.
