Global Technology Center
The CPSVP's facilities include the Global Technology Center, a state-of-the-art meeting and videoconferencing facility, located in 209 Norris Hall. There are two large LCD monitors for projecting video presentations as well as remote endpoints. Up to four videoconferencing end-points can be accommodated. The GTC also offers a SmartBoard (please contact the Center for a training), and a doc cam for non-digital media projections.
The Global Technology Center has seating for 24, with modular, trapezoidal tables that can be easily moved and reconfigured. The space can be used for video conferences.
This facility is shared with Biological Engineering and Mechanics (BEAM) and is made available at no charge for the campus community's use. To schedule the room, please contact the Center's director, James Hawdon, at hawdonj@vt.edu. Please advise how many people you are planning to host on site, and if you will be making any audiovisual presentations.
