Gather in the Newman Library Multipurpose Room on Nov. 30 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for coffee and a conversation on "Service Denied: Marginalized Veterans in Modern American History," with co-editors John M. Kinder and Jason A. Higgins, and authors Heather Marie Stur and Robert F. Jefferson.

The event will highlight the experiences of veterans who are often forgotten in military history, such as African Americans, LGBTQ+ people, veterans with stigmatizing disabilities, and veterans in the criminal justice system from the Vietnam War to the post-9/11 era. 

The event will also be live-streamed on the Center for Humanities' YouTube channel
