Author Brooks Sterritt will participate in Virginia Tech's Visiting Writers Series on Nov. 10. He will engage in a "craft talk" at 3:30 p.m. at the Graduate Life Center in meeting room F. 

Sterritt is the author of "The History of America in My Lifetime," and his work has appeared in The Nation, The New Republic, and Vice, among others. He is currently an assistant professor of English at the University of Houston-Victoria.

The event is free and open to the public, and is  by sponsored by the Virginia Tech MFA Program in Creative Writing, and the Department of English.
