This is home. Signs throughout Blacksburg proclaim the truism that Virginia Tech graduates often feel: the Drillfield, the town, and the nearby rolling hills are all infused with memories of a special time.

Alumni are encouraged — even urged! — to return to campus early and often. And the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences can offer some great reasons to visit.

Center for Humanities Launch
The new Center for Humanities reflects Virginia Tech’s commitment to elevating the presence and profile of humanities disciplines across the university. Led by President Tim Sands, the university will mark the center’s launch in a thought-provoking and celebratory event.

College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences Tailgate
College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends will gather for a pregame tailgate party before the Virginia Tech vs. Miami football game. Enjoy a tailgate buffet, live music, games, door prizes, and giveaways. The HokieBird and Growley, the Corps of Cadets canine ambassador, will both make special appearances.

Pregame Hokie Talk
In her talk “More than Money: Less than Sex,” University Distinguished Professor Nikki Giovanni will explore what poetry brings to life.

Reunion 2019
Class anniversaries from 1974 to 2014 will be celebrated, but all alumni are welcome!
