The College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences expresses its sorrow at the death of Larry Shumsky, associate professor emeritus in the Department of History, on September 3.

A scholar of the history of immigration and of American cities and a past president of Faculty Senate, Shumsky retired in 2019.
