Andrew Pregnall, a history and microbiology major in the Honors College, was named a Marshall Scholar, the first Virginia Tech student to receive a Marshall Scholarship in 15 years. He will study health data analytics at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom. A highly competitive and prestigious award — there were 46 Marshall Scholarship winners in 2020 — the scholarship covers university fees for study, cost of living expenses, books, research, and travel grants, in addition to airfare to and from the United States.
