ASPECT doctoral student Spenser Slough was awarded the Marcus King Research Fellowship in Local History and Folklore in May by the Blue Ridge Institute and Museum, Ferrum College, Ferrum, Virginia. The research fellowship is dedicated to the memory of Marcus King, documentarian of decorative arts, history, and folklore in Southwest Virginia.
