Gain an appreciation for the history, religion, and culture of Middle Eastern regions, while understanding their role in international relations.

What You'll Study

Study the Arabic language as you develop a love for the unique civilizations of the Middle East. You'll review their political history and see its affects on their culture and tradition. You'll take courses in religion and culture, history, Arabic, Hebrew, art, and political science, including courses like these:

  • History of the Middle East
  • Elementary Arabic
  • Judaism, Christianity, Islam
  • Women and Gender in Islam
  • The Arab-Israeli Dispute

The Minor in Middle East Studies emphasizes a breadth of subjects pertaining to the Middle East and requires completion of 18 semester hours.
