Why Study Global Engagement Minor
The global engagement minor seeks to increase undergraduate involvement in meaningful research and experiential learning related to various international issues, allowing students to connect academic concepts with real-life experiences.
The minor enables students to explore international relations through a range of educational opportunities:
- study abroad;
- in-class simulations;
- field studies;
- undergraduate research;
- internships and externships;
- international organizations models, including Model United Nations, Model NATO, Model Organization of American States, Model African Union, and Model Arab League; and
- educational programs and engagement opportunities offered by the U.S. Department of State (including the Diplomacy Lab and the Foreign Policy Classroom), the Council of Foreign Relations, and the U.S. Institute for Peace.
