Viet Thanh Nguyen, a Pulitzer Prize winner and New York Times best-selling author, will be on campus in March for Virginia Tech's Visiting Writers Series, where he will perform a reading at Moss Arts Center. More details about the event coming soon. 

His novel, "The Sympathizer," is a New York Times best seller and a winner of the Pulitzer Prize in Fiction. His other novels include "Nothing Ever Dies: Vietnam and the Memory of War," which was a finalist for the National Book Award in nonfiction and the National Book Critics Circle Award in General Nonfiction, and "Race and Resistance: Literature and Politics in Asian America."

Nguyen is also Aerol Arnold chair of English, and a professor of English, American Studies and Ethnicity, and Comparative Literature at the University of Southern California.

Visiting Writers Series events are free to the public, and sponsored by the Virginia Tech MFA Program in Creative Writing, and the Department of English.
