Rachel Bitecofer, a nationally known elections analyst, will present “Elections in the Trump Era” on Thursday, October 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. The virtual event is the fall forum of the League of Women Voters of Montgomery County.

Other co-sponsors of the event include the Lifelong Learning Institute at Virginia Tech, the Montgomery-Radford-Floyd Branch of the NAACP, the Center for Rhetoric in Society in the Virginia Tech Department of English, and the Women’s and Gender Studies program in the Virginia Tech Department of Sociology.

Bitecofer, the author of The Unprecedented 2016 Presidential Election, has been featured in The New York Times and The Washington Post and is a frequent commentator on CNN, MSNBC, and NPR. In 2018, she predicted the Blue Wave in Virginia five months before the election.
