What You'll Study
In preparation for global citizenship, our faculty helps you deepen your understanding of diversity in both local and international contexts. We explore how identities and social categories complicate our understanding of social relations and diversity.
Rooted in Virginia Tech's Principles of Community, our program enables students to affirm the value of human diversity by linking learning objectives with service to others. Following the institution's motto, Ut Prosim ("That I may serve"), we engage students in a hands-on approach to prepare them to be leaders within their respective communities. Through the minor, students will gain knowledge and skills that are essential for effective civic engagement and employment.
