Literature Minor


As a literature minor, not only will you graduate with a rich sense of the best that has been thought and said, but you will find yourself skilled at analyzing information set before you and presenting an insightful analysis.

Elective Courses (12 Hours)

What You'll Study

Engage in a variety of texts and genres while reading critically, analyzing content, and discussing great books.

You will take courses in writing, period literature, and an author course. Choose four elective courses from a wide variety of options including:

  • Renaissance, Romantic, Victorian, or Medieval Literature
  • Chaucer, Shakespeare, or Milton
  • The Harry Potter Phenomenon
  • Language and Society
  • Literature for Children
