Environmental Policy and Planning Minor

What is a Minor in Environmental Policy and Planning?

The environmental policy and planning minor provides students with an interdisciplinary framework to view environmental problems.

Students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences' Sustainable Agriculture Practicum class plant strawberries at Kentland Farm. The strawberries are destined for Virginia Tech dining halls in the spring of 2018 if all goes as planned.

What You'll Study

Students will obtain the knowledge and skills needed to function as policymakers and planners who can understand complex environmental issues and develop enduring solutions. The EPP minor extends knowledge in policy, planning, governance, and international affairs through an interconnected sequence of courses that explore environmental policy and planning, urban planning, transdisciplinary problem solving, land use, and environmental law.
