Maria Snegovaya (Ph.D., Columbia University) is a postdoctoral scholar at the PPE program at Virginia Tech and a Visiting Scholar at George Washington University. She specializes in comparative politics, international relations, and statistical methods. The key focus of her research is democratic backsliding in Eastern Europe, as well as Russia’s domestic and foreign policy.
