On Wednesday October 7 Joaquin Roy gave a talk on "The EU, the US, and Latin America." Roy is Jean Monnet Professor and Director of the European Union Center of Excellence at the University of Miami. He has published over 200 academic articles and reviews, and he is the author or editor of 39 books. He has also published over 1,600 columns and essays. He was awarded the Encomienda of the Order of Merit by King Juan Carlos of Spain.
