About Our Program

The Accelerated Master’s in Human Development allows current Human Development students the opportunity to complete a master’s degree in as little as one additional year after completing their bachelor’s degree. Students accepted into the program are eligible to take up to 12 graduate-level courses during their senior year that will count toward their overall required credits toward their graduate degree. We also offer this program for individuals who already hold a bachelor’s degree in HD or a related field, allowing students to complete a master’s within two years with full-time enrollment or at their own pace.

A person with a master’s degree in HDFS is highly qualified to work as an administrator in public, private, and nonprofit organizations in areas such as county extension offices, community services, family advocacy programs, child development centers, social service agencies, human resources, crisis centers and NGO (non-governmental organizations).
