The CEUTTSS Ambassador Series continues. On November 10, 2023 at 2 pm, we welcome the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic, His Excellency Radovan Javorčίc. The Slovak Republic has been a staunch supporter of EU’s and NATO’s policy on Ukraine. The September 29 elections, however, returned Robert Fico to the prime minister’s seat on a platform of curtailing aid for Ukraine and promising to jump-start peace talks to end the war. Peace talks at this juncture will inevitably involve a land for peace agreement that Ukraine rejects. The Slovak Republic may end up with a pivotal role in the decisions both the EU and NATO make regarding Ukraine and Russia.
