Georgeta Pourchot

Georgeta Pourchot is a co-founder of the Center for Refugee, Migrant, and Dislpacement Studies. She is associate director of the Center for European Union, Translatlantic, and Trans-European Space Studies, a Jean Monnet Center of Excellence. In that role, Pourchot also serves as liaison to the Center for Refugee, Migrant, and Displacement Studies. Based in Alexandria, Virginia, she brings experience in foreign policy, refugees, terrorism, democratization, and international security. Pourchot is also coordinator of the International Refugee Research Project, an interdisciplinary Virginia Tech initiative that examines the challenges facing refugees as they integrate into their host countries.
