Dean's Roundtable

The Dean’s Roundtable of the College of Liberal Arts & Human Sciences exists to support the mission of the College and of the Virginia Tech Advancement Division through advice, access and advocacy. The board comprises approximately 25 members representing various disciplines, graduation years, and related fields of activity. Dean’s Roundtable members are informed ambassadors for the College who communicate, endorse and advocate for the mission of the College.

Becoming a Member

Members of the Dean’s Roundtable:

  • Serve a three-year term on the board
  • Attend four meetings per year (two in-person and two virtually)
  • Serve on at least one of the following standing committees: Executive, Development, Communications & Marketing, and Engagement
  • Provide counsel on programmatic and strategic issues affecting the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences’ overall long-term future and on the priority of the College’s projects and initiatives
  • Help identify potential philanthropic partners whose interests coincide with College priorities
