Staff Sergeant Nya Hamilton

Staff Sergeant Nya Hamilton is from Atlanta, GA. She enlisted as a Human Resources Specialist after completing Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, in 2020. SSG Hamilton most recently served as the S1 Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge in the 4th Infantry Division Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion at Fort Carson, Colorado.

SSG Hamilton served as a Human Resources Specialist in the 637th Field Artillery Brigade at Camp Casey, South Korea; a Human Resources Specialist at Headquarters and Headquarters Company Aviation and Missile Command and a Site Security Manager at the DEERS/ID Card Office at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama; a Essential Personnel Services Noncommissioned Officer and Human Resources Operations Noncommissioned Officer in Charge in the 4th Infantry Division G1; and as the Plans and Operations Noncommissioned Officer in Charge for the J-1 Manpower and Personnel Directorate of a One-Star Special Operations Joint Task Force, Unit Mailroom Manager, Combined Federal Campaign Officer, and Voting Assistance Officer at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.

SSG Hamilton completed an operational deployment in Qatar from 2024-2025 in support of Operation Enduring Sentinel.

SSG Hamilton's military education includes the Field Sanitation Course, Basic Leader Course, and Advanced Leader Course. She earned an Associate Degree in General Studies and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity.

Her awards and decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4), Army Achievement Medal (3), Certificate of Achievement (4), Army Good Conduct Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officers Prof Dev Ribbon (2), Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon (2).
