Food Share Cabinet Launch
The Food Studies Program and College of Liberal Arts & Human Science Staff Association, in collaboration with VT Engage, is launching a new food share cabinet in Major Williams, for all students, regardless of need. Take what you need, share what you can. The cabinet will be open anytime the building is open. This launch event is an opportunity to drop off donations, have some refreshments, and check out the space. For donations, any shelf-stable items and toiletries are welcome, but we especially encourage foods that students can eat that day while on campus, so if folks donate soups, canned pasta (like spaghetti Os or ravioli), etc. it would be great if they have pop tops so students don't need a can opener. Items needed: packaged, shelf-stable foods, drinks, and produce, plus sealed toiletries and personal items. The cabinet is on the first floor of Major Williams--Enter through main building doors on Stanger St., go through the glass doors ahead of you, and turn left up the ramp.
