Professor Lisa Tucker was appointed Head of the Department of Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management.

Tucker joined the Interior Design program in the Department of Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management in 2003; subsequently, she served for 13 years as Program Chair of Interior Design in the School of Architecture + Design in the College of Architecture and Urban Studies.

A practicing interior designer and architect, Tucker is the recipient of various national honors from the American Society of Interior Designers and is responsible for organizing the Interior Design curriculum around sustainable and socially responsible design as a foundation of practice.

Tucker earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Virginia and her Ph.D. from the University of Missouri.
