Sabrina Sturgeon, a master’s student in Higher Education, was named by the Virginia Tech Board of Visitors as the graduate student representative to the board for the 2020–2021 academic year.

The undergraduate and graduate student representatives are appointed to a one-year term; they sit on a committee of the governing board and serve as ex-officio members on the Commission on Student Affairs.

Sturgeon has identified mental health access, food insecurity, and overall job security as the three focus areas during her year of service.
