Global Partnership Project Grants are available to administrative units as well as individual faculty members to support an academic project involving at least one academic international partner. The project must have an identifiable outcome. Eligible projects include, but are not limited to: a conference or symposium on a Virginia Tech campus or at a Virginia Tech international center; organizing a conference/workshop/symposium at other sites; and a coauthored article or book manuscript. The International Initiatives Committee administers the grant program. 

Deadline for intention to apply: September 28, 2026

This includes preliminary details about project type including budget, partner information, and other funding already granted or indended to secure. 

Application deadline: October 18, 2026

Funding Period: November 1, 2026-June 1, 2027
