Jacob Robinson

Jacob E. Robinson is a Mellon Postdoctoral Associate with Monuments Across Appalachian Places in the Department of Sociology at Virginia Tech. Robinson earned his PhD from Virginia Tech, where he worked on a broad range of projects centered on racial & ethnic identities. Robinson’s research interests focus on critical human geographies in rural, mountainous regions, detailing the systematic creation and denial of social identities and belonging.
