Asian Studies Minor

Study historical, economic, political and cultural elements of South Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia to learn how their unique traditions have influenced the world.

What You'll Study

Through a minor in Asian Studies, you'll explore the diverse histories, cultures, philosophies, societies, art, and politics of Asia. Through the building of language skills, you will develop a deeper and more intimate knowledge of different Asian communities. You'll be able to take electives in history, culture, language, and social sciences, including courses like these:

  • Islamic Art and Architecture
  • Revolutionary China
  • Geography of Tea
  • Introductory Korean
  • History of Indian Subcontinent
  • Economics of China
  • Asian American Experience
