What You'll Study
Whether you're interested in engineering, natural resources, political science, geography, or another field, the Environmental Policy and Planning minor helps you understand the policy decisions that shape our environment and communities. Through coursework in environmental policy, planning, and sustainability, you'll gain practical skills that complement your major and prepare you to address complex environmental challenges from multiple perspectives.
Study Abroad While Completing Your Minor
Take your learning beyond the classroom through SPIA's Sustainable Europe study abroad program. Students can use the program to complete four of the seven courses required for the Environmental Policy and Planning minor while exploring how European communities approach sustainability, environmental policy, and urban planning. It's an opportunity to gain international experience, earn significant progress toward your minor, and see innovative environmental solutions firsthand.
