Shauna Webb

Shauna transitioned to academic advising from counselor education and supervision. As a former faculty member and mental health counselor, she views academic advising as the perfect mix of teaching and counseling. Shauna earned her B.A. in Communication and Sociology from Messiah University, her M.Ed. in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific Univeristy, and her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from The University of Georgia.

Shauna sees advising as collaboration between herself and the students she works with. A keystone of her advising practice is that each student feels valued and supported as a whole person. Shauna's goal is to help share knowledge to empower students to explore and make the best decisions for their future. Ultimately, she wants students to increase their self knowledge and confidence and become more fully themselves.

In her non-work hours, Shauna can be found with her partner cheering their kid on at baseball, basketball, football and whatever other sport he decides to play. She enjoys being with her family (dog included), coffee, acquiring and caring for plants, reading, outdoor adventures, and yoga.
