Chelsey Hancock has served as an academic advisor in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences for seven years, supporting students across 10 majors in two departments during that time. She earned a B.S. in Human Services from Old Dominion University and a M.Ed. in Student Affairs from Regent University.

Chelsey approaches advising with a listen-first mindset, prioritizing trust, respect, and a genuine understanding of each student’s unique experience to provide personalized support. She is passionate about empowering students to explore new opportunities for growth and to feel confident in their academic planning. Chelsey also values strong relationships with campus partners, staying informed about available resources to ensure she can connect students with the support they need.

Outside of work, Chelsey most enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys reading, cooking, thrifting, traveling, and spending time with friends.
