Caitilin Cook

Caitlin's professional background centers around student support and international education. Prior to joining CLAHS, she advised in the Virginia Tech School of Neuroscience and the Global Education Office. She also served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Senegal. Caitlin earned a master's degree in International Education Management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies and bachelor's degrees in English and International Studies from North Carolina State University.

Caitlin values building meaningful relationships with students through curiosity and respect. She hopes that through conversation and questions students can feel supported and make the best decisions possible for themselves. Drawing on her experiences as a swim coach and CliftonStrengths facilitator, she encourages students to grow and try new experiences.

Caitlin enjoys reading, swimming, traveling, doing puzzles, and hanging out with her cat. She also learns languages, to varying degrees of success, including French, Wolof, Italian, Arabic, Scottish Gaelic, and Greek.
