What You'll Study
A theatre arts minor is a well-rounded education in the world of theatre. Courses include the areas of performance, design and technology, arts management, lighting, costume, sound, theatre history, script analysis, and playwriting. You can work with your advisor to tailor your education to meet your unique needs.
We emphasize a hands-on approach to learning, and a theatre arts minor is always encouraged to assume various roles in the production process and collaborate with other students.
Beyond the Classroom
Undergraduate students take an active involvement in both our mainstage and workshop productions, whether as a performer or within a wide range of production roles.
Design classes give students the experience to practice hands-on work in a variety of areas within the realm of technical theatre. Whether you’re interested in costumes, set building, painting, props, or lights, there are plenty of opportunities to pick up new skills.
