Curriculum

What You'll Study

In the community engagement and service minor, students will gain a deep understanding of how to partner with communities to create meaningful, real-world impact. Students will take classes in community engagement, collaborative problem-solving, policy and planning, and community-based research and analytics.

Completion of the Community Engagement and Service Pathways Minor also fulfills the curricular requirements for the Honors Community Engagement and Service (HCES) diploma, an intensive Honors experience focused on community-engaged learning, reflection, and collaboration grounded in Virginia Tech’s Ut Prosim mission.
