His research interests include health politics and policies, health security and pandemics, global health institutions and practices, water politics as well as the complexity theory.
Awards and Honors
Dr. Blouin Genest's work has been published in Health: An Interdisciplinary Journal for the Social Study of Health, Illness and Medicine, Études Internationales, Cultures & Conflits and Dynamiques internationales. He is also the author of L’eau en commun (PUQ, 2012) as well as several chapters published (or in the process to be) at Peter Lang, UBC Press and Athéna Press. His book manuscript on the genealogy of health security in contemporary political practices is in the process of publication and he is currently working on several projects regarding global pandemics management and the impacts of health security on the allocation of public health resources.
